SkillsUSA is the largest student program in the United States. Of the 98 available contests, ranging from cooking and cosmetology to engineering and computer programming, CBTV proudly competes in 4 of them. These contests include Television (Video) Production, Digital Cinema Production, Audio/Radio Production, and Broadcast News Production. Contests begin at a regional level, and eventually lead up to a national convention, where over 6,000 students from across the nation compete. SkillsUSA helps prepare its competitors for the world of work by refining both their skills and their leadership.

STN, or Student Television Network, is a national program organized for 
aspiring filmmakers and broadcast journalists. Along with mail-away competitions
throughout the year, such as spring and fall nationals and STN challenge, STN
hosts a national convention each year. This convention rotates its location
annually, and we've traveled to it from Orlando to as far away as Los Angeles. The convention offers workshops from professionals, key note speakers, and opportunities for both group and individual competitions.
